Appspeed extends Lakeside Software deal

Storage and virtualisation distributor Appspeed has extended its deal with Lakeside Software by bagging exclusive rights to the vendor’s Systrack Power Management suite.
The software firm develops management offerings for the Windows marketplace. It specialises in green IT and focuses on virtualisation, power management and optimisation of virtual, physical and mixed environments.
The Basingstoke-based VAD is owned by channel veteran Grahame Smee, who serves as managing director of both Appspeed and security and IP telephony distributor Cohort. Smee claimed concerns about both the economy and the environment would help fuel take up of Lakeside Software’s technology.
